For Leaders
Leadership becomes more demanding as responsibility expands. Leaders have to understand themselves, read their teams, interpret organizational conditions, make decisions, navigate relationships, and be able to explain how their leadership contributed to the work.
These experiences give leaders time and structure to examine those responsibilities in depth.
The Standard Behind the Work
Leadership development in Team Clinic is grounded in research on leadership, influence, decision making, team dynamics, organizational behavior, and strategy. Stories and experience may help make the work useful, but they are not the basis for the recommendation. When a leader is asked to pay attention to something, measure something, change something, or approach a situation differently, there is evidence behind that recommendation.
The numbers behind the work
of the difference in engagement from one team to another traces to the manager.
of first-time managers reported receiving no training when they moved into leadership.
of leaders said their stress increased significantly after stepping into their current role.
of employees described their most recent conversation with their manager as extremely meaningful.
Managers have substantial influence over the employee experience, yet many enter leadership with limited preparation and rising stress. The experiences below focus on the decisions and relationships that come with that responsibility.
Leadership Intelligence Retreat
An immersive retreat for leaders who need to make sense of complex organizational conditions and decide what deserves attention.
I keep hearing about problems too late, and I am not sure what I am missing.
What this includes
Participants work through realistic leadership situations that require them to interpret incomplete information, understand what is happening around them, make decisions, and determine how to move the work forward. The retreat progresses through seven forms of leadership intelligence.
- 1Signal IntelligenceSee what is happening
- 2Diagnostic IntelligenceUnderstand what it means
- 3Decision IntelligenceMake sound choices
- 4Team IntelligenceRead the team
- 5Political IntelligenceNavigate the organization
- 6Strategic IntelligenceConnect decisions to direction

Leadership Strategy Workshop
A working session for leaders translating organizational priorities into choices, responsibilities, and action in their own area.
My organization set the direction. Nobody told me how to actually get my department there.
What this includes
Organizations establish priorities and initiatives. Leaders then have to decide what those priorities require from their own area: where to focus, what to change, what to protect, and what the team must be able to do.
Participants use a strategy canvas to connect organizational direction to team responsibilities, leadership choices, and results. The canvas makes those choices visible and gives leaders a concrete way to explain how they are translating strategy into execution.
Leadership Identity Workshop
A working session for leaders defining how they want to operate in the role and what others should be able to expect from them.
I got the title eight months ago. I still am not sure what kind of leader I am.
What this includes
This is a working session rather than a leadership-style assessment. Leadership roles change responsibilities, relationships, authority, and boundaries. Participants examine what the role now requires, what they are carrying forward from previous roles, and how they want to operate when making decisions, setting expectations, responding under pressure, and working through others.
They use a leadership identity canvas to make those choices explicit and describe how they intend to lead in practice.
Team Climate in Healthcare
A simulation-based masterclass on how leaders read team climate and how their responses shape speaking up, coordination, and learning.
I think people can speak up on my team. I am not sure they would say the same.
What this includes
Participants enter a realistic healthcare leadership simulation and diagnose the team climate from incomplete evidence. They choose how to respond, see additional information as the situation develops, and decide what they would monitor next.
The experience focuses on psychological safety, speaking up, leader response, coordination, and the conditions that affect whether concerns surface.
Strategic Power
A masterclass on how credibility, relationships, timing, and access shape whose ideas move through an organization.
I do good work and it keeps going nowhere. Other people’s proposals move.
What this includes
Participants examine how influence develops across an organization: how credibility is established, how support develops before a formal ask, how contribution becomes visible, and how work moves when authority is shared across people and departments.
The session can focus on career influence, organizational influence, or both.
